RSIC-DC04-HD+DD-SI:
RSIC-DC04 Heavy Duty Double Deflection Spring Isolator.
This is the NEW RSIC-1 Spring Isolator with the RSIC-DC04 substituted for the RSIC-1. The market for these spring Isolators is the Kinetics Noise Control ICW market. The RSIC-DC04-SI can be spaced at 48" x 48" or 48" x 96" while supporting two (2) layers of 5/8" Gypsum board. With greater spacing the cost per square foot is cut by up to 75% while providing the noise control benefits of Both a Spring and the RSIC Rubber.
Currently available in 5, 10, 20, and 40 lb options with 1" deflection. 80 lb and 160 lb coming soon.
* The 40# spring can support two layers of 5/8" Fire Code C with the Springs spaced at 4'x2' (2.5# x 2 layers x 8 Sq.Ft. = 40 pounds).
* The 80# spring can support two layers of 5/8" Fire Code C with the Springs spaced at 4'x4' (2.5# x 2 layers x 16 Sq.Ft. = 80 pounds).
* The 160 pound spring can support double the load or double the distance with a heavy duty Carrier Channel such as 3-5/8" x 20 gauge or heavier steel stud the spring can be at 4' x 8' OC.
